I can’t stop thinking about J.D. Salinger’s death.  Every word he writes is perfect, and I always completely understand every sentiment he’s saying and it’s like he’s transcribing my mind. The Times is a gold mind for info about him: http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/28/jd-salinger-91-is-dead/ http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/29/books/29salinger.html ...

I had a dream last night that they were demolishing the Empire State Building.  I started freaking out.  I didn’t understand what would be there instead, and where they would have met in An Affair to Remember.  I kept thinking that now the New York City skyline would be unrecognizable and indistinguishable from the skylines of any other cities.  It got me very upset. So, what do you think...

Thought #67: Midterms
I am having so much difficulty studying for my stupid midterms.  The Internet is haunting me, it’s mocking me, pulling me in with its spidery fingers.  I can’t focus on math or physics or my immense theatre midterm director’s book project.  None of it.  Instead, I’m spending my time on tumblr and facebook.  Yep.  Productive, right? I mean, don’t get me wrong.  At...

Thought #66: Getting ready for college
Today, my parents and I had a the Junior Planning Meeting.  Lots of paperwork, lots of deadlines, lots of tingling exhilaration.  I have to write my autobiography for my guidance counselor, so he knows what to write about me.  I need to get teacher recommendations, and apply for scholarships.  I have to get cracking on my essay.  This is really happening.  I’m getting ready to start applying...

Thought #65: Barbies
I’d like to expand upon that Barbie post from before.  I love Barbies.  They were practically my life when I was little.  I went spend days setting up stories, worlds across my basement floor, with intertwining relationships and histories. I mean, it all makes sense.  I love stories.  Always have, always will.  I love stories in every form: movies, TV, theatre, poems, novels, or acted out...
